I love the taste of onions and the flavor it transfers to dishes. Lipton has the best Onion Soup Mix, but I didn’t like the list of ingredients. From sugar to GMO corn syrup solids, artificial colors and MSG’s. All I really wanted was a clean list of spices that matched the taste of the popular Lipton Onion Soup Mix.

So I came out with my own blend, and a blend that is even better for you because it provides nutritional benefits from Bone Broth.
What is Bone Broth?
Bone Broth is made of bones from beef, chicken or fish, simmered for hours with a few vegetables and herbs and turned into a delicious “liquid gold”. This ancient broth contains several health benefits for the gut, skin, hair, joints, muscles. It is not only rich in vitamins and minerals, but it carries a good amount of protein. When bones have been simmering for 24 hours, a type of protein called collagen is released into the stock. Collagen is known for supporting joints, skin elasticity, the gut lining, making bone both a great agent for people suffering from leaky gut syndrome.
Bone broth is also rich in mineral content extracted from strong bones of animals, resulting in a great electrolyte drink.

This copycat version of the well known onion soup mix works great in any recipe, especially my favorite Pot Roast recipe. Plus, it will add a dose of nutrient dense bone broth to your meal. It’s incredible in flavor, simple, quick, and affordable to made.
